The visual language of Andrei Grositsky (1934–2017) is easy to recognize but impossible to imitate. His works are on the border between painting and sculpture, gradually taking on a third dimension. Fascinated by the boundless universe of man-made things, he created images that could be described as portraits of inanimate objects rather than still-lifes.
